Meet the Owners, Matt & Holli Floden
Hello and Welcome to Winterset Gymnastics!!
Matt and Holli Floden are the owners and head coaches of Winterset Gymnastics. Whatever the athlete's goal-whether to enjoy gymnastics recreationally, competitively, or both, Matt and Holli believe every child holds the potential to be a champion; and has the ability to gain many life skills through the sport of gymnastics and tumbling.
Following graduation from Iowa State University and upon Holli receiving a Bachelors of Science in Business Management and Matt receiving a Bachelor's of Architecture from Iowa State University, the Floden's purchased the company in 2006. Since purchasing Winterset Gymnastics, Matt and Holli have coached numerous State and National Champions ranging from the Beginner level through Elite. Both are certified Double-Goal Coaches through the Positive Coaching Alliance.
At the age of three, Holli became active in gymnastics and dance. In high school, Floden was named a four-time All-American cheerleader. Holli has been coaching gymnastics for over 20 years and began her involvement with Winterset Gymnastics in 1996. Her participation continued through college as she went on to cheer at Iowa State University.
Matt incorporates his experience from a variety of high school sports and provides drills and motivation with core strengthening and agility. Matt is a skilled spotter and excellent at providing one on one technique evaluations. Matt is an AAU Tumbling and Trampoline judge and has judged at Junior Olympics.
Matt and Holli feel strongly about gymnastics' life lessons and the positive impact that high expectations and big but attainable challenges have on our youth. They strive to provide a positive, fun, yet challenging environment in which kids can thrive, build self-esteem and create friendships that go far beyond gymnastics classes. The Winterset Gymnastics program has proven to serve its students well. Matt and Holli have watched their graduates become successful teenagers and adults who set goals and don't let anything hold them back.
